Imagine a church service specifically designed for students: young people of the same age who think about the same things and face similar problems, yet are diverse in background, culture, and experiences.  Imagine a service that welcomes anyone and everyone, a service that allows youth to discover and worship, a service that is all about Jesus, proclaiming His goodness, faithfulness, and love.

Our youth service meets every Sunday at 9:30am and 11:30am (which corresponds with the worship services of our church, Island ECC, so your parents can go to a different service at the same time).  Each week, our youth service is a little different.  We usually start off with worship (the musical kind...we recognise there are many other kinds and we do try to incorporate as many of them as we can).  Youth worship usually looks and feels a little differently than it does in the adult services...we're a little louder and a little more energetic.  Then we talk (we don't call it a sermon) about things students are going through-how Jesus applies to their lives now.  As opposed to talking about jobs, parenting, and careers like the adult service, we talk about school, friends, peer pressure, parents, siblings, college, and academics.  Sometimes we spilt into groups afterwards to discuss, sometimes we have a Q&A sessions, and sometimes we reflect in silence.  Instead of socialising over coffee after service, we play video games, jam with the band, play card games, or sit and talk on the sofas.  Youth service is uniquely for youth aged 11-18, but is collectively about CHRIST!
